Residents at Cambrian Lodge made the most of the changing season this week with our first springtime walk, a lovely chance to get out and about for some fresh air and gentle exercise.
Wrapped up and ready to explore, residents enjoyed a relaxed stroll in the park, taking time to admire the signs of spring all around. We paused to look at the spring flowers beginning to brighten the beds, and enjoyed watching the birds as we walked, bringing a calm and cheerful feel to the outing.
The photos capture the day perfectly. One shows residents enjoying the walk together, with a wheelchair being pushed along the path so everyone could be included. Another lovely moment shows a resident and a carer sitting on a bench, smiling as they take a selfie to remember the outing. The bright, well-kept flower beds in the park also feature in the images, adding a splash of colour to the day.
Getting outdoors is such an important part of wellbeing. It supports mobility and confidence, lifts mood, and gives residents a change of scenery to enjoy together. Most of all, it’s a simple pleasure, time spent in nature, in good company, noticing the little things that make spring feel special.
