Residents at Cambrian Lodge enjoyed a lovely musical treat on Friday afternoon as they spent time listening to Philip playing show tunes on the keyboard.
The performance created a warm and uplifting atmosphere, with residents tapping their hands and feet along to the music and clearly enjoying the familiar melodies. Live music has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and this session offered a relaxed opportunity for residents to share the moment and simply enjoy being part of the occasion.
The photos beautifully reflect the feeling in the room. In one image, a male and female resident can be seen holding hands while listening to the music, while another shows two female residents holding hands and gently swinging along to the tunes. These simple moments of connection say so much about the comfort, companionship and enjoyment that music can encourage.
Activities like live music sessions can support wellbeing in many ways, helping residents to relax, engage with others and respond emotionally to songs and rhythms they enjoy. Whether it was tapping along, smiling at a favourite tune or sharing the experience with a friend, Friday’s keyboard performance brought plenty of quiet joy to the afternoon.
