Residents at Cambrian Lodge have been enjoying a creative Easter craft session, making colourful beaded decorations to hang on the home’s craft tree.
Using bright pipe cleaners, beads and Easter ribbon, residents carefully threaded the beads before bending and shaping their designs into festive decorations. The activity offered plenty of opportunity to focus, be creative and enjoy the satisfaction of watching each piece come together step by step.
The photos show residents concentrating as they thread beads onto yellow and coloured pipe cleaners, as well as proudly showing their finished creations. One image also gives a lovely look at the materials used, including the colourful beads, pipe cleaners and a selection of Easter ribbons. The finished decorations look beautiful displayed on the small white twig craft tree, adding a cheerful seasonal touch to the home.
Activities like this are a wonderful way to support wellbeing, encouraging fine motor skills, concentration and creativity in a calm and enjoyable setting. They also create natural opportunities for conversation and shared enjoyment, as residents work alongside one another and admire each other’s designs.
It has been lovely to see each decoration take shape, and the craft tree is now looking bright and festive thanks to everyone’s careful work.
