At Cambrian Lodge, two new residents have been introduced to the home’s Our Echo system, enjoying a fun session playing the memory pairs game.
Seated comfortably in armchairs with tablets in front of them, both ladies spent time getting to grips with the activity and clearly enjoyed the experience. The photographs show them focused on the screen, using the pens provided to take part in the game, while another image captures one resident smiling happily at the camera.
The memory pairs game offered a simple but engaging way to explore the system, encouraging concentration and interaction in a relaxed setting. One photograph shows a resident tapping the screen as she tries to find matching pairs, highlighting the hands-on and accessible nature of the activity.
Digital activities such as these can be a valuable part of life in a care home, offering opportunities for mental stimulation, confidence-building and enjoyment at an individual pace. Introducing new residents to tools like the Our Echo system can also help them settle in, discover new interests and feel more connected to the activities on offer within the home.
At Cambrian Lodge, it was lovely to see both ladies taking part so positively and enjoying their introduction to this interactive activity.
