It was a wonderfully floral day at Cambrian Lodge, with residents bringing colour to the home both indoors and out.
Inside, residents enjoyed creating beautiful flower arrangements for display around the home. Photographs show residents gathered around a table filled with cut flowers, choosing stems and carefully placing them into vases. One image captures a resident arranging pale pink flowers, while another shows two ladies chatting together as they work on their displays, adding a lovely social element to the activity.
Outside, members of the home’s gardening club got busy planting flowers chosen during a trip to the garden centre. The patio area was given a bright seasonal update, with images showing a resident filling a trough with soil, placing orange flowering plants into position and watering newly planted hanging baskets. Another photograph shows freshly planted pots beginning to take shape, ready to add colour to the outdoor space.
Activities like these offer residents a chance to be creative, active and involved in shaping the environment around them. Flower arranging can encourage conversation, concentration and self-expression, while gardening provides gentle physical activity and a sense of purpose. Together, the two activities made for a rewarding and enjoyable day.
At Cambrian Lodge, the results were clear to see — with lovely floral touches indoors and a cheerful new display on the patio for everyone to enjoy.
